Design culture is part of the DNA of the new 100% Pietranera concept: Time for Design
Elegance and sophistication are the distinctive features of Pietranera’s "Time for Design", inspired by the architect Diego Perusko.
The architect, art director at Pietranera, explains the new concept of the company:
“For Pietranera, planning and designing essentially means reducing, always trying to place the accent on actions rather than words.
We prefer it to be our design skills that show who we are and where we’re headed. Our society is marked by a strong sense of precariousness that
upsets our daily life and work. Our task is thus to use design to produce new means of expression, which must be clear and easily perceptible, yet never
invasive, so as not to aggravate that sense of disturbance and unease”.
How can this aim be achieved?
“We have achieved our aim by cultivating a design culture that is in Pietranera’s bloodstream. Ours is a company that places the accent on producing
objects rich in both content and technology that reflect our history, in which design is a subtle, classy language that is never
over the top like so many
others unfortunately are”.
How did the new concept evolve?
“This is the route that has led to the new 100% Pietranera "Time for Design" concept, where the product contents are the evolution of the language we
like to speak with our customers. Our intention was to use design to create a natural sensation, a perception of simplicity combined with perfection; we
look for the allure of everyday objects, we aim for glamour as a result, not simply as an effect. This is the philosophy that lies behind the design of the
new armchairs Zone and Londra, both of which have an absolutely unique, completely different appearance and form. The finishes also have a beautifully sophisticated touch, as can be seen on the King mirrors, featuring a leather effect, and in the smooth, graceful Nuvola Reception. Time for Design creates a setting where glamour is the name of the game: a place with a perfectly proportioned, balanced atmosphere, where objects converse
without ever raising their voice, in a poetic, typically Pietranera style”.
